Valentina began her dance training in her hometown Rimini (Italy). After an apprenticeship with Compagnia Michele Pogliani in Rome, Valentina moved to the UK to train at London Contemporary Dance School. There she completed her BA (Hons), toured with the Postgraduate performing company EDge07 and completed an MA. Valentina performs regularly for Frauke Requardt: Electric Hotel (2010/11), Pictures from an Exhibition at Sadler’s Wells (2010), Roadkill Café (2008), Jammy Dodgers (2008). She is also a founding member of the Van Huynh Company. Her performance credits also include Mischief (2011) by Theatre Rites and Arthur Pita, The Bride in Arthur Pita’s God’s Garden (2010) and Megan the Monkey in Will Tuckett’s Thief Of Baghdad for ROH2 (2008). She joined Protein in 2011 for their world tour of LOL and will be performing in (In)visible Dancing and The Picnic in 2012. With Amy Bell she has choreographed I Just Close My Eyes: Here Are The Devils (2011), Perlas a los Puercos (2010), That Was the Time I Stopped (2010) and Crossing The Sea (2008), a chamber opera commissioned by Wilton’s Music Hall.
