I Just Close My Eyes: Here Are The Devils explores the twisted world of a pair of faded wannabe divas, investigating the slippery notions of failure and authenticity in performance. Delving into to the surreal imagery of her fears and fantasies, we have been looking at vulnerability of the performer and the distortion of femininity in the performance space. As a twosome we are by turns a sisterly double act, heckling adversaries or past and present versions of the same has-been. This is a work of doubleness, decay and looming microphones.
